About

Kevin Laymon with his Shelby GT350

I'm the founder of Jet Stream Ventures, a company built around a simple operating idea: time is the highest currency, simplicity beats cleverness, and the systems worth building are the ones that hold up under real use.

My background is in systems thinking — I've spent my career noticing disorder and instinctively redesigning it into architecture, whether that's a business process, a piece of software, or a creative project. I care more about whether something actually works than whether it looks impressive on paper.

Outside of Jet Stream Ventures, I run an automotive YouTube channel focused on cars, craftsmanship, and the stories behind the build. To me, filmmaking and entrepreneurship are the same underlying pursuit: taking something complicated and making it clearer for the people on the other end.

My faith is the lens I try to bring to every decision — in business and otherwise. I'd rather build something slowly and honestly than quickly and hollow. That shows up in how I run Jet Stream Ventures, how I approach my family, and how I think about the long game of building something that lasts.

I write here periodically about entrepreneurship, systems, faith, and craft. If any of that resonates, I'd love to hear from you — get in touch.
